Healing happens when your mind, body, and nervous system feel safe
Are you struggling with anxiety, overwhelm, burnout, grief, or emotional exhaustion?
When life becomes difficult, whether through chronic stress, loss, relationship challenges, or past trauma, our minds and bodies adapt to cope. You may find yourself constantly anxious and overwhelmed, emotionally shut down, or moving between both.
At Inner Ease Therapy, I understand that stress and emotional pain are held not only in our thoughts, but also within our bodies and nervous systems. That is why I use an integrative approach to help you feel safer, calmer, and more in control of your wellbeing.
Meet Warren
Warren Abercrombie
Mental Health Occupational Therapist, Counsellor & Hypnotherapist
At the heart of Inner Ease Therapy is a genuine understanding that life can be challenging and that asking for help is often one of the hardest steps to take.
My professional training, combined with my own lived experience of mental health recovery, allows me to offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space. My focus is entirely on helping you feel understood, supported, and empowered to heal.

My Therapeutic Toolkit
Healing looks different for everyone. At Inner Ease Therapy, a range of therapeutic approaches are carefully combined to support both mind and body, helping you move beyond simply managing symptoms and towards genuine, sustainable wellbeing.

Pluralistic Counselling
A safe, collaborative, and entirely non-judgmental space to help you make sense of difficult emotions and gain a much deeper understanding of yourself. By gently examining the life stories, past experiences, and relational patterns you currently carry, we can work together to untangle complex feelings. This process allows us to create new, healthier perspectives that support profound emotional healing, foster genuine self-compassion, and help you move forward with a renewed sense of self and confidence.
Mental Health Occupational Therapy
A specialised approach that explores how your daily environment, sensory experiences, and underlying nervous system impact your overall mental well-being. By looking at how you function in your day-to-day life, we can identify exactly what is contributing to your chronic stress, anxiety, or feelings of overwhelm. Together, we will develop practical, tailored strategies and build healthy routines that empower you to navigate life’s challenges, helping you feel more grounded, regulated, and resilient.
Sensory & Attachment Informed Principles
Drawing on Sensory Attachment Intervention (SAI) principles, this approach explores how stress, trauma, and early life experiences impact how you regulate your arousal states. Whether you are caught in a cycle of high-alert overwhelm or experiencing a "freeze" response (where you might feel physically stuck, shut down, or disconnected) we will utilise practical, sensory-based tools to gently bring your nervous system back into balance and create a greater sense of safety.
Clinical Hypnotherapy
A gentle, evidence-based approach that uses guided relaxation techniques to safely access and work with the subconscious mind. When we are highly stressed, our minds often get stuck in rigid survival patterns. Clinical hypnotherapy allows your body to experience a state of deep, restorative rest, providing a unique opportunity to gently rewire unhelpful automatic thought loops, reduce deep-seated anxiety, and replace deeply ingrained negative core beliefs with more supportive, empowering ways of thinking.
Supporting You with Professional Expertise and Compassionate Care
I am a fully qualified, registered, and insured practitioner. My core practice is regulated by my professional registrations with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT), National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), and National Hypnotherapy Society.

Taking the first step
Reaching out for therapy is often the hardest part, and it takes courage. Your comfort and safety are my absolute priorities.
There is no pressure, no commitment, and absolutely no judgment, just a gentle conversation to see how I can support you.
I offer a free, no-obligation 15-minute phone or video consultation so we can briefly discuss what brings you to therapy and see if we are a good fit for each other.
