When life gets heavy, whether it’s anxiety, burnout, trauma, or just feeling stuck, having the right support changes everything.
You don’t have to keep holding it all together.

Something happens when you finally feel safe enough to let go.
Are you exhausted from trying to keep it together? Struggling with anxiety, grief, burnout, or trauma that just won’t shift no matter how hard you try to think your way through it?
You’re not broken. Your mind and body are doing exactly what they had to do to survive. But those same patterns can leave you feeling stuck, shut down, or like you’re running on empty.
At Inner Ease Therapy, I work with all of you, your thoughts and emotions, but also the tension in your body, the state of your nervous system, and the story underneath it all.
Because real healing isn’t just about understanding what happened. It’s about finally feeling safe enough for something to shift.
Meet Warren
Warren Abercrombie
Mental Health Occupational Therapist, Counsellor & Hypnotherapist
I know what it feels like to reach a point where you realise you can’t keep going the way you have been. That moment, as frightening as it is, can also be the beginning of something.
I came to this work through my own experience of mental health recovery. It shaped everything about how I practise: the patience, the lack of judgment, and the deep belief that every person who walks through the door has the capacity to heal. I’m here to help you find your Inner Ease.

My Therapeutic Toolkit
There’s no one-size-fits-all in therapy. Depending on what you’re carrying and how your body holds it, I draw from a range of approaches, blending what works best for you, rather than following a rigid formula.

Pluralistic Counselling
Sometimes you just need space to finally say the things you’ve been carrying alone. Counselling gives you exactly that, a private, unhurried space to talk through what’s been hard, make sense of it, and start to see yourself a little more kindly.
We work entirely at your pace, following what feels most important to you, without judgment and without a script.
Mental Health
Occupational Therapy
Most therapy focuses on what’s in your head. Occupational Therapy looks further, at your daily life, your environment, how your body responds to the world around you, and what’s quietly draining your energy every day.
Together we find what’s actually getting in the way, and build practical strategies that work in your real life, not just in the therapy room.
Sensory & Attachment
Informed Principles
Sometimes the body holds things the mind hasn’t caught up with yet. If you are stuck in anxiety that won’t switch off, or so shut down you barely feel anything, that’s your nervous system, not a character flaw.
Using gentle, body-based tools, we help your system learn that it’s safe to settle. It’s slower than thinking, but often far more lasting.
Clinical Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy often gets a bad reputation from stage shows and swinging watches. Clinical hypnotherapy is quite different. It’s a deeply relaxed state where your mind becomes open to change, allowing us to gently work with the automatic patterns keeping you stuck, without needing to fight them consciously.
Many people find it to be the most restful hour of their week.

Taking the first step
Taking that first step is hard. I know that, and I want to make it as easy as possible.
I offer a free 15-minute phone or video call. It’s informal, there’s no commitment, and you don’t need to have the right words ready.
Just tell me a little about what’s been going on, and we’ll take it from there. If it feels like a good fit, great. If not, I’ll do my best to point you in the right direction.
